Sheila has worked with Rent WOW!!! for a couple of years now, using our furniture rental services for her projects.  Sheila’s company ‘Sheila Singer’s Staging and Design’ has continued to impress the industry with her skills and her creativity. Most Recently, Sheila’s work was showcased on the series: ” Buy Herself” (HGTV Network).  She had staged a condo downtown Toronto, and the end result looked like it came staright from the cover page of a magazine!  This 2 bedroom condo was sold for $485,000, within a month after being staged, during the slow season for the market!!

TRANSFORMING SPACES

Rent WOW!!! has once again provided our quality furniture for a unique transformation.  Stage 73 is a staging company that regularly uses our furniture for its’ staging projects.  The company’s owner and head stager Alison Mercer, took a recently renovated property that needed that WOW factor, and turned it into a home buyer’s dream!   This project shows how a quality furniture provider and a skilled home stager can achieve a desirable outcome!!

In accordance with Chinese Horoscope this year is the Year of a Golden, White or Metal Tiger. What are furniture trends for the year of a Tiger?

Metal Tiger likes everything that sparkle. Metallics are hot this year, furniture with metal finishes, mirrored surfaces and metallic accessories are very fashionable this season. Metallic  Gray is this year popular neutral colour to showcase the bright furniture. “Do go grey. It is a fabulous neutral that works well with every colour,” says Tamara Robbins Griffith, public relations specialist, IKEA Canada.

Tiger is an Asian animal. Asian style is making a comeback from the oblivion. Japanese Art inspired fabrics, oriental patterns of Kashmiri carpets in contrast with contemporary beds, Asian prints and handiworks are in vogue this year.

Tiger likes clean environment. Eco Friendly furniture and decor is not only fashion, but the need of our times. For nature lovers there are plenty of furniture and decor made of recycled materials available on the market.

Although a solitary animal, Tiger shares his habitat with other animals. Urban modern has African and tribal influences and is clean, natural, and organic. The colours are dark and rich, with hardwoods and faux croc embossing and other safari animal details.

Tiger is an ancient animal and likes luxury. Reinterpreting the past – traditional with a twist will be hot in furniture. The antique furniture of the olden days upholstered in  fabric with modern patterns, antique lighting and other accessories are in fashion this year.
